Journeys into the wildwood
What bird can warn you of the thunderstorm that will hit in ten minutes?
How can you release the wild fire hidden inside the wood in the old way?
Which plant will cure your headache, which root will fill your belly?
Wildwood Journeys invites you on an adventure to explore nature in an ancient and meaningful way, to open your eyes allowing you to read the language of the wild.
In the heart of the woods, a great drama is unfolding beneath the surface.
As you unlock the secrets of nature and interpret the subtle messages of the woods you experience a greater understanding and deeper connection to the earth
. Our wish is to bring you closer to the natural world and provide you with an understanding and experience of the wildwood like never before.
Indigenous peoples relied on their knowledge and understanding of their natural environment to sustain their very lives. As a consequence they had a profoundly different relationship to the earth than the modern person and often we feel the lack of this. We too can discover and ‘remember’ this ability to look through the eyes of a native.
" When I got home I felt like a different person and saw nature in a totally new way. I felt part of it and discovered a part of myself I never knew existed "

All of nature, from the trees to the mice and the frogs, live and flow in a certain natural rhythm that humans often find themselves outside of and thus separate to. We can’t hear the birds through the traffic or see the stars for the streetlights. Modern life moves so fast that often the seasons pass us by. This is a chance for us to leave the trappings of our society behind and spend a week in the purity of the woods without mobiles, TV, traffic and news. |
