I will always keep that week in the woods as a sacred and special time, something to remember when you were in contact with something that you often lose sight of – Hannah - Art History student - Edinburgh
Spending a week in the lovely natural surrounding of the forest really chills you out and puts manic city life into perspective – Simon- IT Recruitment- London
This week I discovered a part of myself I never knew existed – Stu –Pub landlord –Devon
There are many things, both small and quite substantial that I have carried back into my own life that makes it so much richer and calmer - H.F - London
My mum and I walked through a local wood today and it was transformed for me- to know what most of the trees were, to recognise plants and birdsong and to be eager to discover the ones I didn’t know. After paying attention so much to what was around us Mum said she felt ‘blissed out’ ie had managed to relax and forget some of the chatter in her mind. – Hannah- Art History student - Edinburgh
I feel more relaxed than I’ve felt perhaps in my whole life, and completely different than I did a week ago – Simon –IT Recruitment - London
We were taken to those woods and shown a world more wonderful than we had ever known before. The best lessons a man could wish to learn and such a setting. We were smoothed out by sheer tranquillity, abundant vibrant air and green to soothe the eye – Sam –nurse - London
In adapting to the woods I felt more relaxed, happy and rejuvenated than I can remember feeling. I literally felt my body and mind being restored, I viewed the concerns of my life from a much calmer perspective, I felt my senses being reawakened, I came away feeling entirely different-calm, happy and energised and very alert to my surroundings - H.F - London
What I really found fulfilling was being in the woods for a long period, adapting to its pace, slowing down physically and mentally to allow myself to absorb the sights, smells, and sounds of the woods and to open myself up to the spirit of the woodland - H.F - London
I found it lovely not having the constraints of the city or even the constraints of a normal holiday where you are always thinking about where you have to be, what you are wearing, getting taxis here and there, exchange rates, getting ripped off etc – Simon-IT Recruitment-London
I started to feel really connected towards the end of the week to all the nature around you as the city really disconnects you. – Simon-It Recruitment- London
